James and Qually are living in Hong Kong and came back to Vancouver to celebrate their marriage with their family and close friends. The day began at the Pan Pacific Hotel where James and his troop of brothers arrived to to fetch the bride. Following a series of challenges and wedding games, the groom was allowed to kiss his bride. Next came the Chinese wedding tea ceremony before heading to The Chapel at Queen Elizabeth Park for the wedding ceremony. The reception was held at the SFU Diamond Alumni Centre where guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner followed by a few touching speeches and toasts. After the cake was cut, guests hit the dance floor to the energetic beats of DJ Francis Hooper. The couple’s first dance was slow and romantic but quickly turned into a fast-paced, beat-thumping choreographed dance sequence between the bride and the groom. Something I will never forget!
